Practice Focus

Stephanie Birmanns is counsel in the firm’s antitrust/competition practice group. She is a German qualified lawyer and has more than nine years experience practicing German and European antitrust law in Germany and Brussels.

Ms. Birmanns has successfully represented clients in high-profile merger control and cartel cases before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office. She also frequently advises on numerous other matters, including antitrust complaints, compliance programs, horizontal and vertical collaborations, commercial arrangements, and antitrust litigation. Among other industries, Ms. Birmanns has gained significant experience in the petrochemical, electricity, paper, transport, insurance, and medical industries. She is fluent in English and German.
